Reseller CallOut: GTZ DEZIGNs

<em>Hello, Here is an etsy reseller.....she has been doing it for a bit, earlier she had a few products but now she has just added a couple of pages......she is even not using her pictures and everything is from the place she is buying these bags. She only has the colors that the wholesale place is selling and there are a few wholesale shop links I have at the bottom that are selling these products.

I have mentioned the product name as she has in her shop and then I have the etsy link and along with the link from the wholesale site. She is selling at 2-3 times the price on etsy. I just can not understand how can people do this or am I just too dumb

  6. I flagged a few of this seller's items the other day....AND THEY'RE STILL THERE?!!

    Why does Etsy suck so hard? What's the point of claiming everything on your site is either handmade or vintage, when lately it seems like a lot of stuff is just mass-produced crap being resold??!!!!

    I GO TO EBAY WHEN I WANT MASS-PRODUCED BULLSHIT. NOT ETSY.

  7. Sometimes I wonder why Etsy doesn't get sued for fraud. Or complaints filed. All the flagging and proof doesn't seem to matter. If I was a buyer and knew Etst admin had been alerted of these sellers, then couldn't buyers do something?

  8. Even I wonder what Etsy is upto, it is there business and they can run it the way they like. But I feel they should inform us that products on ETSY are both handmade and comercially produced. Letting mass produced stuff sell in the guise of handmade is not fair and as far as I am concerned is cheating the customer. All these bags are still on Etsy and the seller for sure is laughing her way to the bank.

  9. I used the Etsy "report this item" feature & cited the link where she purchased the bag from. How many people need to do this before Etsy pays attention?

  10. I have a question . . . when we report these resellers, does Etsy know who the report is coming from? I guess so, right? So do they retaliate?

    I looked at this person's purses myself and immediately thought "reseller." She even has one feedback that says she didn't have the item "in stock."

  11. SLady - Etsy know who the report comes from (as you have to sign in to do it), but the shop/item you report doesn't. Etsy keeps you anonymous.

  14. She is still very much there, selling her stuff and making money for Etsy too. All it seems is Etsy just cares about there money; handmade blah blah is all a guise to keep patriotic americans and buyers to stick with the site.

  22. I can't believe the nerve of saying "I've created this bag..." and taking credit for someone else's work. I would be ashamed of myself. It's disgusting.

  23. I have been reading this thread in shock and horror, since the last few days and just can not come to grips with what Etsy admin are upto. Can someone please explain, if this is the normal practise at etsy? I had read some good things on some blogs about all the handmade stuff there and recently set up an account and did buy some jewelrey. I believe I bought from an honest seller but after going through all this it is impossible to believe what Etsy says and does.

    All these bags are being made in CHINA, Guangzhou and the company has a so called office in New York. Since when, did etsy allow sellers to sell mass produced junk… from China

  27. I wish that I had read all this sooner. I'm one of the duped customers! I've been proudly showing off my "handmade" purse thinking how great it is that I didn't support the mass produced crap from China--I guess the joke's on me! I expect this kind of seller on eBay but naively thought that Etsy kept higher standards! It's very disappointing to think that I can't trust the Etsy community like I thought I could. A fellow duped customer was nice enough to advise me of all this. Shame on Etsy for letting this continue for as long as it did!
