EtsyWTF sent me an email about the shop <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7032107">TheSweetestBatch</a> who is claiming to be selling "unique wedding toppers". They are all found at My Dream Wedding.

Just an example:
"best hand painted porcelain you have ever seen."
<a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25771177">http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25771177</a> is found here

Every other one of her cake toppers is on that website as well.

<em>I am extremely skeptical of this seller’s jewelry section. Her profile states that all of her items are “hand sewn” and it mentions nothing about working with jewelry, metals, glass, etc. Her materials listed are generally along the lines of “pendent, chain”… Last I checked putting a pendant onto a chain didn’t count as “making” something.
<a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5575096&amp;section_id=5408940">
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5575096&amp;section_id=5408940</a>

Most of her “pendents” look like something you’d get at a cheapo teenybopper jewelry store.

Case in point: <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=21267807">http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=21267807</a></em>

Scavenger Hunt!

This reader issued a WilliamDohman challenge:

He is trying for some more attention now. First he posts this in Business and it gets moved to promos.
http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6197038
So he then duplicates it and starts again in Business.
http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6197052

And if anyone can find where he stole the robot design, big props to you! It has to be stolen. That guy is a turd.

Get your searching hats on! I'll start:

The face/head reminds me of an Alexander Shen <a href="http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=190064.0">wooden robot</a> he posted back on Craftster.org in '07<img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9HzrJC1mVh3yPwVsqrxpsDUqjOLZkDAW0714lrHl0yBuYNIuxm8g9PZFKjgHm3RfMhTXTa1hS-CNzLFCn_DX5bbWp10B1wlBd9P0qlSxa-iqjm7y32s4FHIXs-JdScjb8IAvI6rzzCug/s320/photo-006.jpg" class="alignnone" width="213" height="320" />

..and by giving it a completely different description title "Large Deer Trophy" they thought they would throw us off as well from the original "Cardboard Stag Deer Mount" but they did copy and paste some of the item description. And strangely enough, they charge more money.

Popdeluxe- <a href="http://www.popdeluxe.net/cardboard-deer-large.html">http://www.popdeluxe.net/cardboard-deer-large.html</a>

Edited to add: They are probably the same people but I still find it odd that the names, descriptions, &amp; price are different if they are the same makers.

<a href="http://www.thegreengiftbox.com">http://www.thegreengiftbox.com</a>

Sells candles, jewelery, seed kits etc. These products are all over the net from a wholesale distributor.
They are not handmade, the seller has copied the pictures, and also used the descriptions, from another site .

There are also links to their website in the shop announcement and product descriptions

UPDATE:
Received this in my inbox-
Regarding the Reseller I wrote about yesterday, <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7107242">http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7107242</a>

Now they are incuded in the gift guides! Look, most of the stuff might be okay if listed under Supplies. But it is being listed in handmade categories, and is clearly not handmade. Can you please do something to correct this?

They even state the manufacturer in the listings.
This is in the gift guides
<a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=fp_gg_0&amp;listing_id=26455029">http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=fp_gg_0&amp;listing_id=26455029</a>

Look at the tags, paper goods, stationery, set, recycled paper, eco, pencil, commercial

THIS IS NOT HANDMADE.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something about this!

In my inbox:

Hi ya - am really upset on behalf of a few friends of mine - the buyer baileyhart7 has been buying things on etsy and reselling on ebay. Not a big deal in general - but she's stealing photos and descriptions.

Check these out:

for ohabby81 to be charging such precious coin you would think she would at least change up the middle picture to not make it so oh-so-obvious that it's straight up stolen from Pottery Barn Kids.

oabby81:
<a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25311622">http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25311622</a>

I guess it made it into a Storque article as well.

Who knew you could directly copy and then charge $129 for it. And her "this is my favorite" is priceless. Yeah, we can tell it was. Maybe someone can let PBK know how much you liked it as well.
