<a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6175653">http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6175653</a>

She is selling all kinds of tacky non-handmade, non-vintage items. Such as this Sanrio change purse:

And these barely used Adidas shoes: <strong>[with no laces which is handy-eco]</strong>

Or how about this China made marijuana ashtray?

She even has a Hello Kitty section:

  1. Etsy really has become just a combination yard sale & cheap craft flea market. Such a shame. It was a good concept, if they had any clue how to protect and promote it - but they never actually understood what they had created.

  2. I love how she uses "skinhead" as a tag for the shoes, do people really go to Etsy looking for skinhead accessories?

  3. Since all these yard sale resellers are having at it on Etsy - why don't we here devise a plan to build our OWN web site specifically for these fucktards and charge them like Ebay does. Now all we need is a snappy web site.

  4. "VintageBaubles is still running amok with her tagging though."

Let's not commit slander here, I actually managed to find one listing *without* incorrect tags! ;-D

  5. Etsy "slapped" her hand!

  6. "Etsy slapped my hand and I'm not allowed to hawk anything here anymore. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me."

I love Callin' Out on Etsy!

  7. Do you think we'll see a skinhead chic article in the Storque?

  8. Her bio:
"I loves drawering! I'm getting married to the love of my life (we've been together for ten years!) next October, and I'm trying to earn a little extra cash to make ends meet."

    Drawering?

  9. Awesome, when we all come together and flag the same shop it seems that Etsy listens. We have a good strategy going here.

VintageBaubles is still running amok with her tagging though. Check out this item:

    http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=28418252

Tags: Cabochon, Green, Turquoise, Mint, Charm, Retro

These are PEACH COLORED BEADS. Not cabochons. Not any of the other colors. Not charms. And definitely not retro.

Most of her items are tagged this way. It's as if she just relists her sold items and swaps out the pictures, leaving all the information from the previous item.

  10. You know. I believe Etsy does send an email to shops for flagged items. My guess is that there is no follow up system or it is very weak.

  11. is anyone else having problems loading Etsy? I haven't been able to get on for hours.

  12. Slappy...I believe "drawering" is a reference to an old Mike Myers skit on SNL...which was based on a British cartoon.

    HAHAHAHAHA. About time, Etsy.

  14. I love the use of her word, hawk!

I do think Etsy has been getting better about getting rid of these shops...

  15. Juried is going to be the only place to go to get away from this yard sale garbage online. Better to be charged more than to be affiliated with this cheesy shit.
There are sites out there that have never been mentioned in Etsy forums. Personally, I am finding them; they are responsive. Etsy is a self-esteem killer. My return customers will find me elsewhere before the end of the summer, and Etsy can kiss my royal ass.
They allowed it to happen, then welcomed it, now they are stuck with their shitty image. Nobody is going to control my image but me.
