They are definitely not handmade and were in the graduation gift guide even.

  1. That's just ridiculous.

    Hmmm..

  2. I almost snorted ice cream up my nose over that last comment! LOL!

  3. So that means admin actively picked them, right?

Wow. I am beginning to think Admin shares a brain cell.

  4. I generally agree with the sentiment here but at first glance on this one I disagree. These seats were in a car, now the seller has made them into desk chairs. I don't think it is really much of a stretch here... IMHO...

  5. If you take a look at the other website (non-etsy one), they look mass-produced/manufacturered, and not handmade.

  7. I don't know how many people work for this company but if Racechairs is considered a collective by Etsy then these might be allowed. At those prices I can't imagine that they sell tons of them so what if there are only two or three people making them. I mean they are taking mass produced race car seats and attaching them to mass produced office chair parts right? Etsy is filled with items made from mass produced parts that are glued/nailed/sewn together. I guess it all depends on how these things being manufactured.

  8. a friend of mine had one of these. he made it himself, though.

took an office chair base and attached it to a race car seat. it was really cool. i'm a fan of cars, so i thought it was genius. i had no idea it was something of a product.

but his always fell over. it was donated to another friend of mine who decided to donate it again, when he moved. he wouldn't fess up, but i suspect one too many tumbles to the floor.

    hahah!

no more in the store, so i cant' see them. but it reminded me of that chair.
