Not Vintage, Not Handmade

<em>"high quality Fashion Cubic Zirconia (CZ) Gems "Diamond Quality" handset into Permanently Bonded 14K Gold." </em>
Bad name for a bad shop.

HAHAHA! OMG, the name is hysterical.
Have you seen the front page right now? How in the world can this chick sell this suit for $30? And look at the difference between the pics of the suit, and the bags. The suit ones are professional, and those other ones.... she doesn't even know how to rotate the pics.

Where does this bathing suit really come from I wonder?

I think you might be on to something there. This listing says "Size M only". If she makes them herself, she ought to be able to make them in any size, right?

GEEZ! I flagged them. This guy annoys me to no end. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26248960 I have no idea if the crap he sells is even vintage.
EtsyCallOut September 15, 2009 at 1:47 PM
I'm flagging the UseOver seller by the way. What an asshat.

A few of the swimsuit photos have the original photographer's watermatk on them.
Interesting that.

Check out this store:

Hello Kitty purses, watches, phone socks, nail stickers...
EtsyCallOut September 15, 2009 at 1:47 PM
Oh, and I think this is fairly illegal:
"We'll mark the item as GIFT and under its value ship to you."
EtsyCallOut September 15, 2009 at 1:47 PM
None of the Sanrio/Hello Kitty stuff in this store is handmade either:

Look at the 3rd and 4th pictures. The necklace in its original packaging:

It even says MADE IN CHINA!

Twiddledumdee, definitely email that part about the mail fraud to Etsy; they do tend to take interest in that sort of thing (if not enough else).
EtsyCallOut September 15, 2009 at 1:47 PM
Will do, JK.
This imitation Gucci handbag still has the TAGS on it:

This is not vintage, it even says 1999 on the front:

Twiddle, that seller has been flagged from DAY ONE when she opened. DAY ONE.

Okay, check this out. You're going to die.

Not only is this photo taken directly in a STORE, but the description even says:
"The gown came with sparkling white gloves to adorn the dress."
Came with?
She has tons of these dresses in her store. In addition to... wait for it... a $575 Louis Vuitton handbag!

Sad part is, she registered in February and has already made several sales.

Obviously Etsy buyers don't really care about the reseller issue. UseOver has 190 sales.
In fact, it seems pretty common for the resellers to have high sales figures. Maybe that's because they make the front page and storque picks so often...
EtsyCallOut September 15, 2009 at 1:47 PM
Why is that guys crap still up? Could it be the 190 sales he's had (compared to UniqueBazaar's 6 sales and speedy clean-up)? He admits they're "from an estate sale", they're listed as hadmade, and all the (R) techniques/materials he fills the descriptions with negates the possibility of the rings being vintage.
EtsyCallOut September 15, 2009 at 1:47 PM
I convoed the ring guy, and he said they are not vintage nor handmade, but a really good deal. Yes, it's true! He's doing us a favor by listing them! Is he still in vaca mode?
