Pretty sad when an ENTIRE shop is made up of copyrighted items. Sigh.

Also this is pretty funny.
She's basically saying "Etsy made me take down the listings, but I still sell them so email me to buy them." LOL
She didn't bother to remove the many, many other copyrighted listings in her shop.

Shop Announcement: ***Important*** Due to Etsy rules and regulations, there are certain images that are not allowed to be posted or "listed" on Etsy. These images include but are not limited to nfl, nba, college teams, nhl, and sport team images. I have previously had these listed in my store and am no longer allowed to list these images. I apologize for the incovenience. If anyone has any questions, feel free to convo me or email me

  1. The problem is that Etsy doesn't do anything about copyright issues, unless the copyright holder initiates a complaint.

We should probably reserve callouts for things that Etsy will actually address.

So she downloads pictures of the Jonas Brothers, then tells people not to "steal" her images.

  3. It's funny how she puts HER watermark on them so that no-one will steal "HER" designs.
    Who cares?

  4. By the way, I am dropping friendly emails to each of the copyright holders of items in this shop. Let's see if they care.

  5. And it still amazes me how many sales these sellers have! When looking for clipart to put in my blog, I'm overly cautious with what I use.....yet, they make money on it! I don't get it!

  6. Update: regs123, the Winnie the Pooh THIEF, has a new shop announcement:

    "regs123's Shop Announcement
To all of my great customers I apologize in advance for the delay in opening my shop. My husband's grandmother died on Saturday and we are leaving to Seattle for her funeral. It has been a busy summer thus far with vacations, visitors and now a funeral. Thank you for your patience."

How very, very sad that grandma had to die just as the legal shit is about to hit the fan.

She's also removed her location (Salt Lake City) from her profile. (Like that makes her less findable. lol!)

Remember, Heavenly Father and Joseph Smith are always watching.

  7. Wow, that's a hell of a find, Christine! And hey, now I know how to drum up business, since it appears that anything Twatlight gets sales.

  8. EVERYTHING is Twilight "inspired".
    WTF?

My favorite is this listing that basically says without saying these exact words that they've ripped off this "Bella Ring" from Boxwish.com - oh the balls!!! The balls are big and hairy here!

  9. oh wait, perhaps I misread - did boxwish.com pick up their bella ring? Either way, do they have a release from the Twilight author to be peddling Twilight jewelry without direct permissions? Hmmm...

  10. This shop is not shy about using twilight at all!

  12. Surely the copyright holders are aware of all the Twilight "inspired" jewelry out there? I don't know how popular it is in the US, but judging from what I see on Etsy, these items should be everywhere. It doesn't make it legal, but I'm wondering whether they care. The Bella ring is so generic that I really doubt anyone can claim copyrights on it. Selling it as 'Bella ring' might be an infringement, though.

  13. Here's another Twilight psycho!

  14. The fact that the copyright infringers sell hundreds and hundreds of items just goes to show that Etsy has become a leading marketplace for cheap knock-offs, rather than a venue geared to artisan crafts.
